Dear All,

Hope this email finds you well. This is to give updates on what ATER has been doing lately. There’s usually a lot going on within ATER during a one month period. You are welcome  ask and take part in what is happening anytime. ATER is you and me and can only stay alive if we keep working together to strengthen it.
In addition to regular  ATER executive committee, board and extended committee technical meetings, a few other things also happened within ATER.
On August 22 -26, ATER was represented in the Hornby School workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During the workshop, Teachers Associations (TA) leaders from 18 African countries met to  share experiences,challenges and best practices. Some pictures of the events are posted on ATER facebook page (
As you may all be aware, ATER has been chosen a the 2017 Africa TESOL conference. THis isn an international conference that will bring many professionals from Africa and elsewhere to Kigali. As the host, I don’t even need to remind you how hard we need to work to make this event a memorable one for both the attendees and ourselves. You have shown how committed you are when it comes to preparing such events. Thanks you. If you are willing to be part of the Africa TESOL conference organizing committee, please let us know and we’ll be glad to have you on board. Organisational meetings have been going on for a while now and you’re welcome to join.
On the same note: Please be informed that the call fro proposals for the conference is out. You can find it here:  Please feel free to share the link with your colleagues and other people you know who wold like to attend and/or present at this international conference. We’ll post this and more info on ATER website soon too. The call for proposal is already on ATER facebook page.
